A2 Broadbridge Dualling Scheme
This project entailed the dualling of 6.6km of roadway between the Maydown Roundabout and City of Derry Airport and the provision of three roundabouts at the White Horse Hotel, Campsie Industrial Estate and at the airport.
The project:
· Improves road safety in the area
· Eases traffic congestion at critical junctions
· Improves transport infrastructure in the area for existing businesses and to help attract new businesses
· Improves the transport links between the city and the key air and sea gateways in the region i.e. City of Derry airport and the port at Lisahally.
Construction started in April 2009 and the road was officially launched in February 2011.
