Regeneration Activities
Apart from developing the sites of Ebrington and Fort George, Ilex works in collaboration with a broad range of public and private sector partners in a sustainable regeneration strategy to exploit the strengths and opportunities of the Derry City Council area.
Integrated Transport Strategy - April 2009
Colin Buchanan was commissioned by Ilex, Urban Regeneration Company Limited, in November 2007 to prepare an Integrated Transport Strategy and Implementation Plan for the Derry~Londonderry City Region.

North West Cultural Challenge Fund
In recognition of the importance of arts & culture within regeneration a total of £4 million was earmarked by the North West Cultural Challenge Fund. £3.2 million of which was spent on capital projects in seven venues in Derry~Londonderry and the remaining £800,000 was set aside to commission a public artwork within the city. The largest public art commission ever held in the island of Ireland. Known as 'Mute Meadows', the installation will be complete in 2011.

Integrated Development Fund (IDF)
Ilex is the coordinating body for IDF which is channelling some £33 million into regeneration projects in tourism, education, enterprise, enterpreneurship, arts & culture, built heritage and infrastructure.
